Applications
M-MuLV RT is widely utilized in applications such as:
• RT loop mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP)
• RT-PCR and quantitative qRT‐PCR
• First strand cDNA synthesis and preparation of cDNA
libraries
Features and Benefits
Developed by Pro-Lab Diagnostics, our modified M-MuLV RT has been improved to ensure:
• Increased thermostability: reverse transcriptase activity between 37-65°C
• Efficient amplification: can generate first strand cDNA of up to 7 kb
• Ability to be heat-inactivated: 70°C for 10 minutes
• Lack of endonuclease and reduced RNase H activity: significantly lower
than Avian Myeloblastosis Virus RT (AMV RT) and lacks endonuclease
activity
• Buffer compatibility: Supplied with 5X M-MuLV RT buffer containing DTT
Technical Details
Unit Definitions:
One unit is defined as the amount of the enzyme that incorporates 1 nmol of TTP into acid
precipitable material in 10 minutes at 37 °C using poly(A):oligo dT as a template:primer.
Source:
The enzyme is purified as a single subunit from Escherichia coli expressing a plasmid
construct of the pol gene of M-MuLV.
Storage Condition:
Store at -20 °C , and avoid the multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
