Why the bacteraemia result matters clinically

Bacteraemia isolates are the hardest, most clinically consequential test population for a rapid agglutination kit — antibiotic exposure, capsular variation, and atypical phenotypes are all enriched in this group. 100% sensitivity on 88 such isolates, in an independent laboratory with no manufacturer involvement, is a level of evidence not held by any competing rapid staph latex product.
